<p>Kishtwar has a hidden treasure of tourist attraction reminiscent of heavenly serenity and abundance of natural wealth which equals the environment of the Kashmir valley and

Justifiably known as 'Chota Kashmir'. The mystic environment provides the abode to spiritual leaders who throng this area for heavenly blessings, peace and tranquility. <i>Kishtwar lies at a road distance of 105 km from Batote (NH_1A). It is situated at a height of 5500 feet from NSL.</i></p>

<p><i>The Kishtwar valley is surrounded by

Mountainous peaks and waters.</i> On one side, it has a beautiful <b><i> SARTHAL DEVI</i></b> temple constructed by Raja Prithvi Dev in 9th Century and on the other side, it has the holy shrines of <b> HAZRAT SHAH MOHAMMAD FARIDUD-DIN BAGDADI</b> and his son <b>HAZRAT ASRAR-UD-DIN (REH)</b>. It is believed that these spiritual realities even brought a person back to life by using their spiritual Powers. It contains Saffron fields and is known as Saffron Queen because of its superior quality Saffron. The mountain ranges especially Paddar are famous for their rare blue Sapphire, a precious stone having a high demand. The famous DulhastiHydel Project is also in Kishtwar.</p>

<b>ANJUMAN ISLAMIA KISHTWAR</b>, a voluntary organization was established in 1905 with zeal to impart linguistic training and knowledge of Urdu and Arabic to the children of poor lot by the social workers and philothropists. <i>In 1910, the Mission was carried forward and a primary school was established in the area.</i> Later on, the Anjuman was replaced by a <b><i>Trust known as ISLAMIA FARIDIYA EDUCATIONAL AND RESEARCH INSTITUTE.</i></b>
